The Perfect Surroundings

Cliff House Holiday Cottages are situated in the pretty Yorkshire village of Ebberston, between Pickering and Scarborough, and are ideally located to explore the stunning North York Moors National Park, the gentle landscape of the Yorkshire Wolds and the picturesque coastal towns and villages.

Standing in the beautiful and extensive 4 acre grounds of Cliff House, a handsome, grade II listed former manor house built in 1750; our five cosy stone cottages, complete with oak beams, are tastefully converted from the old farm buildings. All the cottages are clustered around a secluded gravelled courtyard and are designed for privacy and comfort.

Relax in luxury surroundings

All resident guests have exclusive use of our heated indoor swimming pool and games room. Please note: Any children under 16 using the pool must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Cliff House has a beautiful Victorian walled garden with a unique and ancient yew tree tree-house, children's play area, orchard, avenue of Italian cypress trees and lavender leading to our impressive Orangery. This provides the ideal place to while away a quiet afternoon, whatever the weather. Beyond the mature walled garden, the woodland area with spring-fed pond and stream provides a natural retreat and a delight for wildlife lovers.

The pretty village of Ebberston, with its meandering stream, has its own traditional pub, The Grapes, just a 2 minute walk from the cottages and serves excellent traditional food. A super children's playground, cricket ground and tennis court can be found at the bottom of the village, only a 15 minute walk away. The cottages back onto Chafer Wood nature reserve, perfect for walking or cycling, which offers an alternative route into Dalby Forest. Alfred's cave can be found at the top of the wood, and its position, on a nice day, affords a wonderful view of the Vale of Pickering.
